1. passing the guard
the fight will take place in the guard for the majority of the time. if you can pass the guard well, they can keep replacing, but you can keep passing. eventually you'll be able to pass and establish more dominant positions, which will lead to the victory.
2. escaping side control
if you can always escape side control, you nullify the opponent's guard passes. they can not score on your nor submit you because you keep escaping.
these two areas happen to be some of the major holes in my game. gotta definitely work on these!
