101 pass variant

from Paragon's "Secrets of our Success"
Aurelio Gallegos

On the dvd, Aurelio does a slightly different 101 pass.

He is squared up with the opponent and keeps the bottom leg off the mat by using his outside knee. He starts with inside knee grip and switches to collar grip.

He grabs the collar and BRINGS the opponent up and drives his knee onto his chest. Other arm controls the sleeve. So now two points are controlled that prevent the opponent from turning in either direction.

He then switches the collar grip slightly to pin the shoulder while lifting the sleeve of the other arm.

His slide comes out at an angle- He makes sure he sits on the back of his heel so there's no space for the opponent to hook and reverse him. He angles his knee and then replaces it with his hip.

He keeps control of the sleeve and then finishes by kicking his leg over the face, triangling his legs, and then bringing his hips up for the armlock.

details-
bringing them up makes it easier to slide the knee. they can't raise their hips up as much since their legs are closer to the ground.
