Draculinho's Spider Guard

AM class

techniques-

-spider guard follow
-spider guard sweep from opponent low
-spider guard from opponent high

rolling

-z-guard- to pass-
must clear knee to move to half guard
can smash knee down and sprawl pass
can underhook the leg and go for leg on shoulder pass- square up first
can sprawl out and pass like scissor sweep counter pass
can possibly kick over and pass capoeira pass
can probably square up and eliminate effectiveness of leg
probably better to not give them grips

if they grab your heel, they might go for a kneebar

-open guard insight-
once someone starts passing one way and you defend, you must be aware that they can switch directions suddenly. if you are sensitive to the direction switching, you can adjust and defend the other side as well, but prepare for them to keep switching up infinitely.

-anaconda issue-
if they pop their head out, they can land in side control! must go for the choke right away, don't hesitate

-possible brabo counter-
if they stick their arm HIGH, like glued to their ear, it may alleviate the choke a bit. must test this.

-side control tendency-
if they grab the back of your lapel and start scooting their leg up near your head, they are possibly going to throw that leg over your face for the choke. must prepare to block it. low risk move, maybe it'll be good to try it out.

-open guard reminder-
can't let them control the pants legs at all!

-sit out from guard-
step foot back and sit out. good for BF guard as well.

-first things first-
if you are about to get choked, tend to the choke first, don't worry about getting hooks out or any of that. deal with the biggest problem first and move from there.
